Riding in my car is very therapeutic for me. Actually, riding in my car has been my drug of choice for quite some time now. Getting in my car by myself with music playing on a long, quiet road serves as my prayer room, think tank, release valve, and place of solace. Many songs were created there. Many problems solved there. Many new ideas birthed there. Oh man, and don’t let me drop the top on a cool autumn afternoon. Many priceless memories have been created there! It has been said that life is no smooth ride and I must wholeheartedly concur. This is why anytime you can experience a smooth ride, whether organically or manufactured...TAKE IT! I invite you to take a smooth ride and let my music take you anywhere you want to go! – Solomon
Originally trained to be a graphic designer at the Atlanta College of Art, a near-death experience took this artist back to his first love, music. Solomon grew up with music at the heart of the family's Gospel ministry, in his native Bridgeport, Connecticut. This early exposure to music led this eldest son of a preacher to begin playing the bass guitar at age 15 with his family’s gospel quartet, The Edmond Family. His passion for playing the keyboard ultimately led him to a career as a Minister of Music for over 25 years as well as a Music Director for stage plays. Solomon treats each day as a gift with his mission to inspire and move others. He embraced a unique opportunity for rebirth, that led him to create an original blend of genres inspired by Gospel, Jazz, Neo-Soul, RnB, and Soft Rock. His emotional experiences add a personal and soulful touch to all of his music. Inspired by music giants Earth, Wind & Fire and George Duke, this solo artist seeks to create music that masterfully incorporates harmonies, speaks of various genres of life, cleverly chosen instrumentation, and beautifully harnessed chord progressions to move his audience like he first was hearing his idols. And although his long term goal is to write, arrange, and produce for up and coming artists, Solomon will keep creating and sharing his sound, speaking to the listener's soul and dreams.
Between tinder dates, daily work life and watching netflix is a huge gap called loneliness in a life of a single. About this gap is that personal song by singer Timo Januschewski who sings about his current time. „I wrote this song after another bad tinder experience.“, said Januschewski. „I met someone really nice and handsome but after she broke up I felt so paralysed and empty. I realised that everyone around me were getting married, having a child and all that adult stuff but I was still in a continuous loop of dating. So I wrote that song as a snapshot of my current life and also to reflect myself. I still haven´t found a better woman yet but life is a giant search of luck, hope and love. It just needs time to find it.“ This snapshot is underlined by a catchy guitar riff in the verse and a blaring guitar sound in the chrous. This unique german band bunches serval styles like cross over, hip hop and rock in their music. This is a very authenic rock song that reflect the zeitgeist of so many young people out there. Due to a genetic eye disorder that is slowly causing blindness, Todd Michael Smith, a self-taught musician, hung up his car keys and moved from Vermont to Boston’s Fenway area, fatefully just a stone’s throw from the Berklee College of Music. Having already completed one college degree, Todd took the opportunity and plunged headfirst into a double major at the school, primarily concentrating on learning modern production and arranging skills. Upon graduating, he began the real work of honing his production and writing craft, hour by hour, day by day, week after week. Gigs included performing and acting as musical director for a 10-piece rock ‘n soul review, and guitarist and arranger for local folk-rock artist Grace Morrison. Later, he would join noted hard rock outfit Starr Faithfull on guitar, keys, and backing vox, and performed with the band for about a year. He also subbed on occasion for the well-regarded Allmans tribute band, The Peacheaters, essentially filling the “Duane” role. In 2009, his Irish instrumental “Cliffs of Aran” got a write-up in Guitar Player Magazine. Thousands of hours of working with digital audio led him to work for the recording studio at the world-renowned Perkins School for the Blind, creating audio books for the visually impaired community. By the time he left Perkins, he was managing the department. In 2014, Todd joined the classic rock-inspired Rolling Nectar on bass. He also co-wrote many of RN’s songs during his tenure, which ended in 2017. That same year saw him build a vintage rhythm and blues group, Sugar & The Essential Spice, for whom he supplies guitar and vocals. He is now producing a new batch of original material - straight-forward, bluesy, hooky rock ‘n roll inspired by the likes of Robin Trower, Bad Company, Eric Clapton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and early Fleetwood Mac. Sitting on the yard listening to other inmates rapping and showcasing their talent he told himself he could do that better than these guys. At that moment he decided to jump in the rap showcase in which he won. All the inmates encouraged him to continue to make music upon his release.
