Campbell L Sangster is the solo project of singer/ songwriter aka Lin Sangster from Liverpool. Previous bands include Bad Anorak 404, Kit and Send no Flowers. Sangster's recent work on soundtracks for film and video projects fed into the songwriting process for 'Odds Are Stacked', influencing the approach to the song and lending a visual quality both lyrically and musically. Campbell L. Sangster's forthcoming debut album is scheduled for release later this year, and in the meantime more music can be accessed through Soundcloud. About the Film: This film is an exploration of female masculinity, past, present and future. Tinged with 50s America and moments of the contemporary, Campbell performs alongside The Drakes - a posing gallant band of butches, bois, studs, transmen & genderqueers. Edie Sedgwick lives on in the body and soul of a sun worshipping, silver-clad mother, desperate for sun rays. Meanwhile, her budding gymnast daughter becomes mesmerised by the arrival of Buffy - a woman in her 70s - physically strong and utterly focussed in her bespoke one piece swimming suit. With the spirit of Esther Williams and verve of an assassin, we watch as she dives agelessly, effortlessly. Back and forth, stronger, stronger, air bubbles reaching the surface as each stretch reaches forward, more powerful than the last. The look of the young girl as she watches, watches as this swimmer hypnotises her. As the song reaches its climax, the swimmer exits the water; she leaves as she had arrived - controlled but assuaged. The young girl is left to wonder, a stronger spirit, the imprint of the mysterious woman remaining with her forever. About the Director: Mike Matthews is a passionate and accomplished director. A cat scratching in her throat, full of banter and insolent, tearing cracks through nature, Natalie Findlay has arrived with her debut album Forgotten Pleasures, out March 3 via The End Records/BMG and available now for pre-order.
Findlay is joined on Forgotten Pleasures by producer Jules Apollinaire on guitar/keys, Ben Simon on guitar, and Christina Lamas on drums. The album also sees a collaboration with Carl Barat of the Libertines, as well as producers Jake Gosling (The Libertines, Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes) and Flood (Nick Cave, Depeche Mode, Smashing Pumpkins, U2, The Killers). All 13 tracks on the album reveal the ins and outs of her complex personality while cohesively blending the male-dominated rock sound of yesteryear with the indomitable spirit of a girl who isn’t to be reckoned with. When it comes to Findlay, think PJ Harvey or The Kills’ Alison Mosshart. "Electric Bones" follows "Waste My Time" as the second track available for download & streaming! Birmingham three-piece, Miccoli are set to release their new single on AFA Records on the 3RD of March 2017.
‘Idle Stranger’, the follow up to last year’s ‘Silent’ EP, was self-produced and recorded at Clarion Studios in Penang off the coast of Malaysia. Available to download from all the major outlets, the track is a near perfect piece of infectious Indie Pop which completely encapsulates the band's vocal harmonies and ear for a catchy tune. The first indication of what to expect from the eagerly awaited debut album, the new single is accompanied by a stunning video filmed in Venice and directed by up and coming photographer Valentio McKenzie. After spending most of their childhood studying and making music, twin brothers Adriano (vocal and acoustic/electric guitar) and Alessandro (piano, vocal and acoustic guitar) teamed up with their younger sister Francesca (vocal, piano and harmonica) and decided to form the band a few years ago. Taking inspiration from the likes of Simon and Garfunkel, The Police, Crosby Stills And Nash, Fleetwood Mac and the classic hits of Motown, the three siblings set about crafting their own blend of haunting, melodic and eclectic sounds to great effect. Miccoli have since toured extensively throughout Europe and America; hanging out with Motley Crue along the way and have recently performed at the Wireless Festival in Hyde Park. Previous singles have attracted the attention of public and critics alike and have seen them feature on American, British and Asian television and pick up airplay on national and regional BBC radio as well as Internet and college stations across the board. Having spent the last year in the studio, the band are now ready to set out on the road again and perform the songs that will make up the forthcoming debut album. In what promises to be a busy and exciting year ahead, they will announce live dates in the very near future. "Arrive" is an album that was four years in the making. It spans multiple genres with songs containing full orchestral scores.
One of the overarching themes of the album deals with how we connect (or fail to connect) to each other in our current technology-driven world. The songs serve as a reminder that the world around us is not how it seems on our smartphone screens, and that we can easily spend so much time connecting online that our virtual life replaces our real one. The songs are a reflection of our modern world and all of its overly-connected yet somehow disconnected feelings. The title track "Arrive" is a call to arms, an invitation to travel the world and see it for yourself. You can't know the world as it really looks through a screen. All around the world, people are waiting there for you to arrive. Other songs on the album include the ragtime influenced "Walking Along in the Rain" where the smartphone users are so enraptured looking down that they walk right into poles. Another song "I'm Not Really There" features a narrator who spends so much time posting about where they are that they never really experience the place. These two songs juxtapose modern tech-driven themes with ragtime, one of the oldest American music styles. Other songs such as "The Only One I Know" deal with a character whose only connection to the outside world is a barista with which he falsely believes he's in a relationship. Recording sessions for the album began in San Leandro, CA during mid-2012 under the working title "Modern Problems". My daughter had just been born prior to recording, so I had to lay down the tracks sporadically in the evenings while she slept. After taking all of 2013 off from recording, the sessions resumed in 2014, with all the instruments being recorded in intricate layers. I had used orchestral scores previously in other film and video projects, but this was the first time I had applied a full orchestra to my own music giving them a rich, full sound. Intensive mixing and mastering sessions were finally completed in early 2016. Kasey Tyndall’s sweet southern charm is often rudely interrupted by an impressive collection of rock ’n’ roll t-shirts. AC/DC, Ramones and Guns ’n Roses — crop tops preferably. “You can help me Mr. Dave, I have so many,” she says looking with wide, innocent eyes toward her manager when pressed to quantify her collection. “Stryper. I just went on tour with them, that was awesome. I wear my Stryper shirt a lot. Some of my other favorite shirts are Bon Jovi, Loverboy, Lucinda Williams, Jason Isbell … ” Yes, she calls her manager Mr. Dave and her agent Mr. Jay – that’s kind of her thing, recognizable by anyone raised in the south. But she says their name with respect and reverence instead of the sass and flare one would expect from a girl who prefers leather and denim over dresses and heels, just like she prefers a rowdy crowd dancing on a bar top over a seated one golf-clapping after each song. Don’t be totally fooled — Tyndall isn’t a rocker hiding in a cowgirl town. Her Eastern North Carolina accent and penchant for aching love songs gives her away as a grounded country thoroughbred. The newly released “Everything Is Texas” is a heartbreak song so deep it nearly made the guy she wrote it about cry. Each night on the road before playing "Everything Is Texas", Kasey Tyndall tells the story behind the song and how the guy she loved, a Texas-native, just disappeared on her. No explanation - just up and left. “His face … I almost felt bad for him,” she says with guilty laughter as she recalls the night he turned up in her crowd and planted himself front row. The heartfelt song was penned with the help of Lena Stone and Lainey Wilson. Tyndall’s journey to Nashville was accelerated in 2014 when she won a radio station contest to sing “We Were Us” with Keith Urban. Opportunities came quickly after that late summer performance, including signing with WME’s Jay Williams for booking (Eric Church, Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton, Dierks Bentley). The then college student was greener than new money when she moved to Music City — during her first co-write she had no idea she was working with Doug Johnson (Randy Travis, Lee Brice, Rascal Flatts) until he stepped away and the other writer in the room, Nick Autry, said, “Do you know who that is?” “Anyone that’s big … I get super nervous,” Tyndall says, the anxiety flushing her face even as she thinks about writing with some of the veterans and legends she’s sat down with. She’s has opportunity to be nervous a lot lately. Neil Mason from The Cadillac Three, Driver Williams from Eric Church’s band and Tommy Cecil are a few of the seasoned writers she’s worked with. A publishing deal with Sony ATV promises to bring more top-end talent to her door. After working with her, Cecil (Luke Bryan, Jake Owen, North Carolina’s Parmalee) agreed to produce her EP.. During a song like “Who I Ain’t”, a song on Tyndall's upcoming EP, the fire inside this fast-rising singer breaks containment. Between songs and offstage, Tyndall couldn’t be more approachable. She’s quiet, but increasingly confident about who she is, and who she ain’t. “I wasn’t the prettiest or most popular or anywhere remotely close to that,” she says recalling high school. Her multiplying fan base appreciates this and her rock anthems have become their anthem. “You get on social media and you see society saying ‘That’s what you should look like.’ I instead wanna be a voice of ‘Hey it’s totally OK who you are, just like you are’ … I’m excited to not be the prettiest country singer on the circuit.” Tyndall did over 100 tour dates in 2016, doing runs with the likes of Kane Brown, Granger Smith, Casey Donahew, and The Cadillac Three... and there appears to be no slowing down in 2017. As Tyndall explains,“I love to sing and perform and I’m thankful for anyone who wants to listen. It’s almost like my fans and I have this team. It’s kinda the ‘Be who you are’ team. And I’m blessed to have the best team in the world.” There’s a hot wind blowing: the kind of gale that lays a field of cane down flat against the earth, whips the roadside paperbarks into a frenzy, and buffets the windows of a solitary Landcruiser sailing down a moonlit red dirt track. It’s the kind of wind that heralds the arrival of a ferocious summer storm, and at the eye of the storm is Hurricane Fall. Tamworth-born-and-raised and now based in Newcastle, Hurricane Fall is comprised of Jesse Vee (lead vocals & guitar), Pepper Deroy (lead vocals & bass), Jimmy Hick (lead guitarist) and Lachlan ‘Dusty’ Coffey (skins & percussion). Hurricane Fall confirmed their arrival onto the music scene last year with the release of their debut self titled EP, which peaked at No.2 on the Itunes Country Music Chart – the bands success was immediate! Driving home their rock edge country sound, Hurricane Fall now release their new single ‘How We Get Down’, which was recorded at Spinlight Studio’s in Newcastle, and produced by the band. This is the lead single from their second studio EP also titled ‘How We Get Down’ (out now), which debuted at No.4 on the Itunes Country Chart. Pepper Deroy says "We wanted to write a song that was about life on the road with your mates, playing music and having fun. Sometimes it feels like a dream, which is what we've tried to portray in our clip. Life on the road can be tough at times but having fans respond to our music makes it all worth it! The single has been brought to life with the film clip (view here), which was shot at Stockton Beach in NSW and produced by Gravity Films. Launching the clip on their Facebook page sent music fans clicking, with the video already amassing over 26,000 views and counting! Upcoming Shows:

CAMERA SOUL is a powerful jazz-funk ensemble, produced by Mr. Marco Rossi of Azzurra Music (Verona) and released and marketed in the Americas by Kathryn Ballard Shut of TIMKAT Entertainment (Denver, Colorado). Inspired by legendary horn line, soul, R&B, and jazz-fusion artists such as Earth, Wind and Fire, The Commodores, Tower of Power, and Stevie Wonder, as well as neo-soul grooves by Incognito, Erykah Badu, and Jamiroquai, the group is based out of southern Italy (Bari), and led by veteran composer-arranger brothers Piero and Pippo Lombardo.
Camera Soul’s distinctive sound is further defined by the sweet and soulful voice of lead vocalist Maria Enrica Lotesoriere (Dress Code – 2015 and Connections – 2017) and formerly by Serena Brancale on the group’s first two albums (Words Don’t Speak - 2011 and Not For Ordinary People – 2013). The group features a world-class lineup of studio and live performance musicians, including Pippo Lombardo (piano), Beppe Sequestro (bass), Antonio Tosques (lead guitar, 2015-present), Francesco Palmitessa (lead guitar, 2011-2013), Gianluca Cardellichio (rhythm guitar, 2011-2014), Liviana Ferri (percussion), Fabio Delle Foglie (drums, 2014-present), Mimmo Campanale (drums, 2011-2013), Daniele Scannapieco and Bruno Tassone (tenor sax), Gianfranco Campagnoli and Alberto Di Leone (trumpet), and Piero Dotti and Elio Arcieri (background vocals). Growing up on the Nordic coastline, producer Carl Louis has spent much of his career broadening his musical horizons with a number of notable credits to his name. Originally a member of electronic duoCLMD, Louis co-produced a number of notable releases including ‘Stockholm Syndrome’, which went multi-platinum in Norway and was also premiered on Pete Tong’s Radio 1 show. Afterward, Louis left the group in 2014 to pursue his own personal ambitions.
Having spent the last few years producing singles for other artists, including ARY’s debut single ‘Higher’, as well as releasing his own mini-album in 2015, Lewis has now returned to deliver his latest full-length ‘Memory Lane’. While its title may suggest a more nostalgic sound, his latest material is a smorgasbord of contemporary influences and inspirations. With a largely classical direction, the mix of ideas and directions on his latest release are clear throughout. Its opener and lead single ‘Come With Me’ sees the producer create an uplifting and powerful introduction, which sees him collaborate once again with Spotify Spotlight artist and ‘Stockholm Syndrome’ vocalist Frøder released on the 24th February 2017 via Toothfairy.
Once I Was A Lion is a strange departure of a song for us, it was actually initially inspired by Disney’s The Lion King. I woke up one day with one of the songs from that film in my head and it got me to thinking something along the lines of, “what if Simba turned out to be a fuck-up drunkard of a king? Wouldn’t that be funny!”
Since, the song has evolved; I found myself also writing a reflection piece on how at some point or another, we all feel like kings and queens of our respective kingdoms. It’s a feel-good tune and a real fun pop-rocker to play. Freudz Couch originiated in 1992 recording and touring through to 2003 before disbanding with 3 albums and multiple indie singles released during that time. In late 2016 the band reunited to record and release a new EP titled 'Ego' in the Spring 2017with 2 new singles and videos already released for 'Martha' and 'Darkness'. The EP will also feature the first time the band has recorded a cover and currently shooting a video for the Phil Collins 80's hit 'I Don't Care Anymore'. The EP is being recorded and produced by world renowned engineer Nick Blagona whose credits include a wide range of artists from The Police and Deep Purple to Tom Jones and Cat Stevens.
